Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Lemma. Lemma is operated by Paul Bevan. By logging in, you agree to them.

The service

Lemma helps you choose an idea and edit a draft in your own words. An account is created for you. You sign in with the email address and password you were given.

Each account has a limited number of credits. Claiming an idea uses one credit. Asking for more credits does not add credits by itself. Lemma decides whether to add any, and how many.

Your draft

The first draft is a starting point generated from source material. You are responsible for what you publish. Check that it is accurate, that it is in your voice, and that you have the right to publish it.

Your edited draft is stored so you can come back to it. Do not put passwords or other secrets into a draft.

Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself.
  • Use your own account. Do not try to open another person's draft or account.
  • Do not misuse Lemma, attempt to break it, or use it to send unlawful content.

Lemma can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can ask us to close your account and delete your information.

Availability

Lemma is an early service. It may change or be unavailable. Credits have no cash value and are not transferable.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. You are responsible for the decision to publish a draft.

Privacy

The privacy notice explains what information Lemma keeps. The cookie notice explains the cookies Lemma uses.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
