Cookie Notice

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Lemma uses one necessary cookie for signed-in accounts, and an optional measurement cookie on the public homepage.

Necessary

lemma_session. Set when you log in. It keeps you signed in for 30 days. It is sent only to Lemma, it cannot be read by page scripts, and it is not used to advertise to you. The app does not work as your account without it, so it is not optional.

Optional

Homepage measurement. If you accept, the public homepage loads an OpenAI measurement script. OpenAI may set its own cookie to count visits. Lemma uses that to see whether people reach the site. It is not loaded on the writing pages, and it is not loaded if you reject it.

Your choice is stored in this browser so the question is not asked on every visit. That choice is not sent to Lemma's server.
